Based in Hamilton NZ, Bombardier Longboards has, for the past two years, been creating a unique range of hand-crafted longboard decks and completes that are individually made from quality materials and finished to the highest possible standards.

These have, in the past, been made to order but we are now manufacturing in small runs.  When in 'full production' we can make 2-3 decks per week but any more than this and it becomes difficult.

We have a number of standard deck shapes, some of which can be produced in either a cambered or flat configuration.  The decks are individually laminated and pressed.  They are then hand shaped and sanded.  Most have a small amount of concave to provide positive feel under your feet and we normally use silica sand on the deck surface.  This creates good grip while remaining transparent, allowing the natural look of the wood to show through.  A total of 5 or 6 coats of polyurethane are applied to finish the board.

The hand made nature of the boards ensures that each one is unique and these can be further enhanced and customised with our small range of top quality trucks and wheels.

All of the decks and completes can be customised to a degree.  We'd also be happy to give you a quote for any custom shape that you might be interested in designing and owning.
